Job Description:

* Work with the Director of Continuing Studies and CON advisory board on planning, evaluating, and executing programs and activities related to continuing nursing education. * Oversee all aspects of scheduling and execution of planned programs and activities, which include faculty from CON, other colleges at UIC and outside agencies. * Coordination of continuing education, workshops, summer research programs, and other educational events. (Program list available upon request) * Maintain accurate financial records and status reports for program evaluation. * Build relationships with other external organizations, including the coordination and planning of meetings with external sponsors. * Submitted medical education grant applications to obtain unrestricted educational funds for continuing education programs. * Maintain IHI web pages and calendar of events. * Act as IHI liaison for CON Certificate Programs (School Nurse, Advanced Palliative Care, and Teaching Nursing Education). Work with Office of External Education to ensure student registrations, provide IHI financial officer with letters of agreement for course instructors. * Act as IHI liaison for Saint Anthony Hospital Nurse Hospitalist Program - created MS Access database to track weekly reports. Input data to create report at year end. Assist APN's with on-line reporting process and report compilation.

This is a continuous, full-time position.

Minimum Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor Degree required. Experience of 5 years in Healthcare Coordination.
