Communication Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator will work as a member of the project team on a global implementation initiative.  This individual will be responsible for all project communications needs within the established corporate guidelines.  S/he will play a key role in developing an overall communications plan and executing to deliver success.  S/he must be able to translate complex ideas into easy to understand information.  The ability to quickly learn the organizational culture and author communications, while taking audience sensitivity into account, will be a key factor of success.  This individual must be able to work collaboratively and have a strong creative flare with excellent writing skills.

 

Supporting Project communications needs:

  • Producing and writing announcements and updates for internal clients
  • Writing and editing key documents and sections of the intranet site
  • Working with management to target and communicate with project team and end-users
  • Creating and utilizing consistent templates and style guidelines
  • Utilizing visual imagery to complement communications
  • Creating presentations and other project deliverables
  • Working with project team to improve their communications style and skills
  • Providing feedback on and editing key project communications
  • Identifying project promotion techniques and strategies

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing
  •  Global experience highly desired
  • At least two years experience working within the field of communications (either marketing or journalism)
  • Experience in writing for the web
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • A relevant degree to at least BA level
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and within a dynamic and (geographically) dispersed team
  • Ability to wear multiple hats during project work to assist team as needed       An active interest in the creative representation of information
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and translate for business audience and vice versa
