Administrative Assistant

We are currently looking for a full Time Administrative Assistant and Office Manager for our Chicago, IL office. This position is targeted to start on January 7th, 2008 to replace the incumbent whose last day will be January 11th.  For a couple of months in 2008, the Chicago office will continue to be located at 815 West Van Buren Street.  The Chicagooffice is planning to relocate near Woodfield in the first quarter of 2008. The right candidate will be able to commute to the Chicago location for a couple of months.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION 
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast paced environment. They will have a strong desire to excel and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Individual should possess strong communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills, as well as a customer-oriented attitude.


Administrative tasks include preparing, proofreading, editing and sending correspondence, proposals and presentations; database management and filing; time and expense review; preparing and submission of timesheets; maintenance of document storage and retention; maintenance of marketing collateral library; handling ad hoc projects and other duties as required; assisting with requests from corporate and other regions as needed. 

Office management tasks to include maintaining office equipment; kitchen supplies; tracking and distribution of keys to office personnel; mail distribution; liaison with building management and outside vendors; maintenance of office bulletin board with relevant information. 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

*Must have experience working as an Administrative Assistant or Office Manager. 
*Must have excellent computer skills and experience in computer applications and programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
*Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
*Must have the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. 
*Must have good problem solving skills. 
*Must have the ability to interface with corporate management in a professional manner.
