Customer Service Technician

Flextronics’ RTS specializes in providing customer-facing technical support in retail locations. Around the globe, RTS associates consistently deliver a high quality customer experience at the point of sale helping end-customers solve technical issues by troubleshooting and fixing electronics products. Our associates are also trained to upsell complementary electronic products. Today, RTS associates are located in over 800 retail locations worldwide.

 

Purpose:

 

The Customer Service Technician provides customer service and technical support for our customer, a high-volume,  leading wireless carrier.  

 

 

Principle Accountabilities:

 

The Customer Service Technician, will:

 

·          Program, troubleshoot, test, and repair cellular equipment.

·          Install and remove wireless equipment in customer vehicles in full service locations.

·          Issue loaner/exchange phones and process all warranty claims.

·          Instruct customers on proper use of cellular phones and equipment.

·          Complete paperwork related to service.

·          Enter and track customer data using the warranty database.

·          Be responsible for opening and closing duties within the service department.

·         Serve as a point-of-contact for questions from Customer’s associates.

·         Analyze repairs and schematics to determine if extended repair is needed.

·          Provide some direction, training, and delegation to other associates.

 

Requirements:

 

·          One year of customer service/retail experience preferred

·          Strong customer service skills

·          Technical aptitude with electronics

·          Ability to use positive interpersonal skills to handle customer problems

  • Knowledge of computers using Windows
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Professional, neat appearance
  • Ability to work retail hours which includes a rotating schedule (overtime is considered a condition of employment and fluctuates with business demand)
  • Passing of a complete background verification (criminal, high school diploma/GED verification, credit, drug screen) is required.  Qualified applicants also must not have any outstanding wireless bills that have not been resolved.
