Sports Awards Co. is a nationally recognized designer and manufacturer of recognition awards. These awards are, sold through promotional product distributors. As we are heading into our 59th successful year, we are looking to welcome a new member to our team. This position will be part of a team that creates custom recognition program solutions used by organizations across the country. Our Custom Awards Department seeks a self-assured, creative talent to fill the position of Design Coordinator.

Critical knowledge, skills and abilities:
Unique idea/product generation
High levels of creativity, organization & attention to detail
Basic understanding of cost/margins & logistics
Ability to effectively communicate vision to internal & external partners
Work well with others & independently
Basic sketching to illustrate concepts
Coreldraw or Illustrator to create product specifications and customer art
Photoshop or equivalent to create renderings or new backgrounds
Goal- and deadline-oriented; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Display enthusiasm while multi-tasking
Sense of style, and awareness of color trends and interior design
Experience in product design, photoshop renderings,
Ability to design in multiple styles to align with different consumer/client preferences
Experience in quoting or estimating would be looked upon favorably
Experience in woodworking, acrylic fabrication or machine centers would be considered ideal.

Job specifications:
New product development
Custom design solutions using customer budget and our existing fabrication techniques.
Research of substrates and processes that may be help to serve our customer needs
Conceptualize awards, graphics and programs.
Build product specifications and bills of material with accuracy
Create prototype samples with help of fabrication department
Evaluate final product fabrication as to accuracy to customer requirements
Work with all departments in the coordination of new product or custom product rollouts
Quotation development through use of templates with budget and design constraints.

Job requirements:
Extensive Experience graphic design, creative design and marketing – Degree A Plus
High degree of proficiency in Coreldraw /Illustrator and Photoshop – 3 Years Experience Minimum
Familiarity with Word, Excel
Experience in quoting or estimating would be looked upon favorably
Experience in woodworking, acrylic fabrication or machine centers would be considered ideal.
