Job Description:

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) seeks an outgoing academic professional to fill the position of Program Coordinator. Under the administrative direction of the Visiting Director and the Assistant Directors, the Program Coordinator will organize academic and support services and programs for CHANCE participants. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for implementing a systematic approach to retaining and graduating CHANCE students. This candidate will provide accountability reports to the Program Visiting Director that indicates strengths and weaknesses of programmatic needs, outcome assessments and programmatic expectations. In addition the Program Coordinator will oversee the collection of student data for required reports (creates and maintains accurate documentation of student's performance, attendance, specialized skill sets and individual learning outcomes). Supports Assistant Directors with identification and collection of data analysis of program operations including grade reports, one-to-one mentoring and advising. CHANCE Program is a division of Academic and Enrollment Services that provides a broad range of traditional/non-traditional services that underpin the University's academic, research and community service missions.

This is a continuous, full-time position.

Minimum Education and Work Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Education or related field and two years of professional experience in a university setting. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population including first generation, low-income and/or students with disabilities. Excellent communication and management skills essential. Must have experience with SPSS or SAS Software to conduct data analysis. Experience in program development preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
