One stoop at a time – that was the idea that sold me on Joboja and convinced me to contribute my talents, efforts and the absolute best of my abilities.
It's a simple idea - start with one stoop, grow to another and another until you've got a block, a neighborhood and an entire community.
A lot happens on the stoop. We meet people, gossip, hang out, exchange ideas, sometimes just sit and try to find ourselves. That's the same thing that will be happening at Joboja.
If you come on down to the stoop, we’ll be happy to tell you about the latest job trends, business news or interesting tidbits we think you should know about.
And the stoop isn't only for us to talk at you; we'd love for you to talk right back to us. This is the neighborhood stoop, and a neighborhood is nothing without its neighbors.
For us to grow, you'll have to as well, and we will do everything in our power to help you do so.
We've got a great team of creative individuals already, and it's growing every day. A lot of what we have up so far is free content from other sites. While that information is useful, and will remain a frequent service of Joboja, we're starting to develop our own voice.
In the coming weeks you will see a wide range of postings—relationship advice to travel news, and many topics in between. We're building a team of talented writers and I'm really excited for you to hear their unique voices.
Additionally, each Wednesday you'll hear from me. On top of a Joboja status update, I'll contribute a lifestyle column and respond to any questions our readers may have.
It's okay if you're unsure about us – Hell, I'm a little nervous too. But it will be exciting to become a valuable resource for you, if you just give us the chance.
See you at the stoop.
