Product Data Specialist

Wilton Products Inc., a leading designer and marketer of cake decorating, housewares, crafts and home décor products has an immediate opportunity for a Product Data Specialist in our Customer Service department. Job Summary:

Champion product administration and data synchronization duties required throughout the organization.
The ability to understand and gain expertise in multiple processing systems.

· Receive information to be entered into the system.
· Reviews source documents to determine accuracy and completeness of information; follows up to correct or complete data.
· Logs source documents in and out.
· Input information in pre-described formats; verifying data entry ensuring accuracy.
· Updates records to include deleting, changing or adding data to files.
· Transfers data between formats; checking messages sent to and from computers.
· Maintains computerized collection and tracking of relevant data.
· Organizes workflow.
· Produces database summaries, statistics and reports as requested.
· Assists in implementing:
- Data entry protocols and procedures
- Trains back up personnel in all functions of the position
- Consults with appropriate individuals to solve problems and facilitate effective communication
- Provides recommendations for equipment and system enhancements as developments occur.
· Diagnosis problems by using established fact-finding procedures, knowledge of processes and procedures, and familiarity with related programming practices.
· Participate in the analysis of user project proposals; identify potential problem areas, and recommends optimum approaches for project path.
· Participates in the development, implementation, installation, and testing of applications software.
· Participates in the development of training material and assists in conducting training and workshops.
· Work with internal and external sources to implement and maintain global data synchronization.
· Provides on-call support and problem resolution for end internal and Customer users.
· Keeps abreast of new developments and Customer trends through different media sources: Website, reading material and conferences.
· Performs related duties as required.

Requirements:
· 3–5 years Customer Service, Supply Chain, Product Administration, or Global Data Synchronization is desirable
· Experience in a fast paced, high volume, process oriented environment
· Strong technical skills (Excel, Access and Outlook)
