Digital Media Sales Planner -A&E, NBC, ABC

A&E Television Networks (AETN) a joint venture of The Hearst Corporation, ABC, Inc. and NBC Universal, is an award-winning, international media company offering consumers a diverse communications environment ranging from television programming, to home videos/DVDs and music CDs, to Web sites, as well as supporting nationwide educational initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide support to Director, Account Executives, and Ad Sales Planning, in efforts to maximize advertising revenues for AETN New Media including Web sites (AETV.com History.com, Biography.com), VOD properties and other new media extensions by creating proposals, assisting in presentations, stewarding accounts, and in servicing orders and client needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES

•Create Digital Sales Proposals for assigned Account Executive(s).
•Work directly with Pricing/ Planning & Inventory/ Billing/ Trafficking teams.
• Ensure Insertion Orders are prioritized and correctly entered into the system based on what was sold through Third Party system generators (ATLAS, Mediavisor, etc.)
•Provide a customized production schedule for each account. Each production schedule should provide to an advertiser dates, creative assets due, approval guidelines etc.
•Ensure all Digital Sales creative assets are received on time and sent to Traffic Manager.
•Oversee process of elements going live and alert AE to potential issues.
•Manage receipt of email creative and schedule with Email Database Manager.
•Maintain and update campaign delivery reports, steward accounts and adjust for optimization of campaigns.
•As needed, work with Integrated Sales, Ad Sales Marketing, Interactive and VOD Departments to ensure convergent proposals have correct offerings & interactive components.
•Within one week of campaign going live on, collect screenshots of ALL elements on plan and provide to agency.
•Monthly post-analysis preparation for clients and agencies and concluding final report at end of campaign.
•Assist AE in responding to all internal and external requests for rates, Web site stats and content information.
•Assist AE in servicing accounts by acting as an intermediary between agency buyers/ supervisors and A&E Digital.
•Work with other Planners to develop competitive analysis of Internet Properties and provide industry information from the trades.
•Work as a team player within AETN and maximize sales for the Company.
•Assist VP & AE’s in preparatory work for sales support and other administrative duties.

REQUIREMENTS
College Degree preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years digital planning experience. Knowledge of media terminology and marketing concepts. Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be a team player and have a client service mindset. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) a plus. Strong media math skills. Strong problem solving skills, pro-active responsiveness, initiative and creativity. Strategic mindset.
