Field Sales Engineer / Account Manager - IL

Advantech, a global, High Tech Company focusing on Embedded and Industrial Computer manufacturing, has an immediate opening for a Great Lake area based, self-motivated Field Sales Engineer (FSE). The successful candidate MUST have at least 3 years of Technical Sales experience to OEM accounts.

Education Required:
B.S. Degree in Computer, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred.

Summary Description

The Field Sales Engineer (FSE) is responsible for:
· Developing new OEM accounts and growing the assigned territory year over year.
· Maintaining existing OEM accounts.
· Channel Partner Management.
· Preparation of OEM proposals
· Meeting or exceeding quota.

Skill Requirements & Responsibilities:

1. Proven ability to close large OEM/ODM accounts. Proven track record of success in sales of technical products. Previous experience working with National Distributors and Manufacturer’s Representatives is a plus.

2. Strong PC knowledge including industrial computers, rack-mount systems, Industrial chassis, Single-Board Computers and peripherals. Knowledge of Industrial PC applications, ATCA and Compact PCI is a plus.

3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.

4. Maintaining solid knowledge of the company’s products, sales policies, standard operating procedures, computer systems and databases through ongoing training and personal development.

5. Completing any other assigned tasks and projects.
