Account Manager - Chicago

ABOUT THE ROLE
This person will be responsible for building and managing ongoing agency relationships, while working with the Sales Directors, Campaign Management, and Publisher Development teams to execute local online media recommendations and campaigns on behalf of national interactive agencies.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop comprehensive local online media strategy to meet each agency’s marketing objectives.
Assemble site consideration set and make recommendations on how to best allocate agency advertising budgets; utilizing media research tools, internal resources and industry/market knowledge.
Develop and issue RFPs to local media publishers; gather and analyze proposals to determine media selections, negotiate rates & positioning as required.
Develop final media plan recommendation and assist Sales Directors in presenting the recommendation to the client.
Provide supporting research for recommended media strategies and plans.
Facilitate order processing and approval of media insertions.
Oversee and monitor ongoing campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are executed properly and according to client expectations.
Assist Campaign Management team in strategic analysis of campaigns and provide recommendations for future media plans.
Foster and manage ongoing relationships with both agency clients and local media publishers.
Accompany Sales Directors on external meetings and presentations where appropriate.
Support Sales Directors in responding to client requests and special projects as necessary

Work Experience:

2+ years interactive account management and/or online media planning and buying
Heavy attention to detail
Skilled negotiator

Experience in taking ownership of a project and seeing it through to completion

Technical Skills:

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Familiarity with ad serving or campaign management systems including DART, Atlas DMT, OpenAdStream, Mediaplex
Knowledge and use of interactive media planning & IO tools: Media Visor, Atlas, etc.
Education

Bachelors Degree or higher
