APQP Coordinator

Description:

Volt Professional Placement currently has multiple openings for one of our leading global manufacturing clients located near Chicago. This manufacturer of hydraulic components currently has a need for individuals with extensive experience in APQP working in a production environment. As an APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Coordinator for this organization, you will be responsible for facilitating cross-functional teams in managing all changes in a production environment to ensure compliance with APQP methodology. These teams will consist of members from design engineering, manufacturing engineering, logistics, purchasing, quality and manufacturing operations. These teams will manage changes in the manufacturing environment dealing with, but not limited to, new product introduction, design/engineering changes, quality improvements, supplier changes and process changes. The APQP Coordinator will also coach teams in the use of APQP tools to drive a culture change. This position will also be accountable to ensure changes are managed to a certain standard of execution and will generate performance metrics measuring the effectiveness of process execution.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of prior APQP experience; shop floor or "hands on" experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrated leadership skills. Knowledge of hydraulics and heavy machining processes is preferred. BS Degree in a related field along with ASQ Certification is a definite plus.

Requirements:
MUST HAVE:

BS DEGREE/ASQ Certification (preferred)
APQP (ADVANCED PRODUCT QUALITY PLANNING) EXPERIENCE
Shop Floor Experience in heavy manufacturing environment
Knowledge of hydraulics preferred
Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
