Integrated Marketing Coordinator

NMMA members, more than 1,400 companies, produce every conceivable product used by recreational boaters. An estimated 80 percent of marine products used in North America are produced by NMMA members. Formed in 1979 in a merger between the Boating Industry Association of Chicago (BIA) and the National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers of New York (NAEBM), roots of the non-profit Association can be traced to 1904 when NAEBM was founded.

Position Title: Integrated Marketing Coordinator
Department: Marketing
Office Location: Chicago

Job Overview:
This position will support the integrated marketing department (sponsorship) in a sale support capacity.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct customer contact management predominantly via phone/internet for lead generation to be used by sponsorship sales team. Track lead generation results and distribute weekly/monthly results to director. Phone skills important. Research using internet, industry journals and other related sources to collect potential sales leads.
Oversee direct mail and general sponsorship mailings for lead generation.
Coordinate the new Sponsorship e-mail newsletter: write articles, update database and schedule deployments on a seasonal basis.
Compile and assemble materials for post-boat show measurement and reporting in PowerPoint format.
Participate in marketing projects, as assigned, for increasing traffic to consumer boat shows.
Coordinate promotional giveaways, award prizes and secure proper documentation of winners.
Assist in the development of PowerPoint sponsorship sales proposals.
Part of the reception relief team (covering 2 breaks and lunch) appx. 2 days a month

Requirements:
B.A. in marketing, event marketing, publicity, and/or sales support.
High competency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with current principles and opportunities of web-based marketing.

Knowledge & Skills:
Need fastidious attention to detail, both in written reports and executing plans
Excellent verbal communications skills, primarily through telephone contact – must be comfortable cold calling companies to find key decision makers.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and departments
Flexible approach to work demands in a dynamic environment
Desire to assume new challenges, a “self starter” and team player
